Hispanic Pride!

Businesswoman Iris Padilla was recognized as "Hispanic Pride", during the month of Hispanic Heritage in 2022, by the U.S. Congressman. USA. Darren Soto and the Commissioners of the City of Haines City.

The following statement about Padilla was read by Congressman Soto in the Registry of Congress and by the Deputy Mayor of Haines City, Jayne Hall, during one of the public meetings of the city commission:

"Iris Padilla emigrated to the United States from Venezuela at the age of 16. She is passionate about education and serving her community. In 2011, she nurtured that passion by creating the Kids Academy Learning Center.

In addition to being the original founder of the Kids Academy Learning Center, Iris is also the co-owner of three branches in Haines City and Eagle Lake. Preschool schools offer education to children from more than 500 families and create employment opportunities that boost the local economy. Iris is proud of the mission of the center: "The staff strives to offer an educational and childcare service of the highest quality, which promotes and improves the development of each child, while ensuring the tranquility of our parents."

Iris is an example of a community leader. She is an active member of the Kiwanis Club, of the Northeast Polk Chamber of Commerce and is part of the Latin Business Expo in Haines City. It is also part of the Professional Recognition Council, where it ensures that child care specialists are trained and equipped to offer an excellent service to children.
